George W has continued his tradition of following us around the world. We were in Rome, he came to Rome, we were in Istanbul, he came to Istanbul, and now that we are home in Duluth, he comes to Duluth! I am a republican but I don't approve of many of his policies, that's a pretty politically beningn statement isn't it? We went down to Pizza Luce (hippie central) and saw lots of protesters with beers in their hands and one father/daughter combo wearing gas masks, it was pretty funny to see a 5 year old kid wearing a gas mask...

I was actually planning on going to the GOP convention just to say I saw the president but ended up staying up all night working on a program for the jungleboywalters.com website. It's a pretty cool program, it let's him update his news section of the site from anywhere with an internet connection, archives his old news into clickable links, and then emails everybody in the newsletter database to inform them of the update.

Other than that, trying to get m5media off the ground and wondering if I will have a job in the next few weeks as our company got sold to a conglomerate who just wanted the newspapers and got us as a bonus...we'll have to see.

Blasted down to the cities this weekend, definately needed... Had a great time in Minneapolis and St. Paul, saw a lot of my friends; Sarah, Todd, Derek, Jake J, and the family too. Went to an art show that showcased acrylic on metal paintings, interesting. The artist was Sarah's sisters boyfriend, and his last show before she goes to Japan to teach English, I'm jelous.

After the show we went to the warehouse district and had a few drinks and some good conversation about GW, who is going to be in Duluth this Tuesday. Also printed a bunch of my pictures from the Europe trip too and got a great deal at Costco, $3 for a 11 x 14 inch print!

On Saturday I went to a really nice restaurant by the name of Axel's in Eden Prairie, the food was sooooo good and I got to visit with my 'nanner' as they say in England who I haven't seen for awhile.  I finally downloaded the pics from my camera (it's a week after I wrote this) so I'll put a few up...

A bizarre self-portrait, no photoshop honest!
